About AutMont

AutMont is run by Jean, who has an autistic child, Jack, and two neurotypical children.

You can find autism and special education events by looking at the calendar. Each calendar listing links to AutMont's blog post about that event. You can subscribe to AutMont's RSS feed to get posts about events, organizations, and other things delivered to your Google or other RSS Reader.

Don't forget to visit the Forum to connect with other special needs parents. Ask a question, propose a playdate, ask about a treatment. As long as we're civil and not libelous, we can build a great community here!

AutMont was first conceived as merely a calendar listing of autism related events in Montgomery County, Maryland, but is expanding into what Jean hopes will become a gathering place for parents of autistic children, as well as autistic adults and teens. We welcome all suggestions. Please let us know what you think!

All content is approved by Jean. Any hateful or disparaging comments or forum messages will be deleted. AutMont is about support, no matter where in your autism journey you are, or what your methods of dealing with it may be.

While the focus of this site is autism, other conditions that are often associated with autism will be discussed here as well. You are welcome to submit events for publication to Jean at autismmontgomery[at]gmail[dot]com.

DISCLAIMER:
Please do not construe a listing of an event or an advertisement in the sidebar to be an endorsement of the organization within. Always research activities and organizations before taking part in their services or events. AutMont will accept no liability as a result of attending an event or using a service listed on this site. While all efforts are made to provide correct information, AutMont cannot guarantee that the information listed does not change after posting on this site. In most cases, AutMont has provided a link to the organization sponsoring the event. When possible, confirm listing with them.
